Dr.N.Ramani and Osai Chella
Dr.N.Ramani is a prolific translator, poet, writer and a professor
in English. Having specialised in Comparative Literature for his Ph.D.,
he has translated such Tamil classics like Thiruppavai, thiruvempavai,
Thiruppalliyelucci. He has also to his credit the translation of Kannadasan's
Arthamulla Inthu Matham, Kalaignar's Nenjukku Neethi, Mouni's Short
Stories, Taslima Nasrin's Lajja, Salman Rushdie's Moor's Last Sigh,
Vajpayee's mera ikyavan kavithaye besides a number of books by Osho,
Kahlil Gibran. He has also translated Lao Tsu and Milarepa. He is
a recipient of the Best Book Award from the Government of Tamilnadu.
His current interest is in e-learning and virutal learning platforms.
An academician of high order, he is the resource person for many a
university and college in the southern part of India.
