Having squeezed the juices of the fruit of poetry,
Adding thereon the essence of music and drama,
Blending therewith sweet ambrosia,
Brahma left the broth dry to solid shape
And made the physique of woman.

கவிதைக் கனிபிழிந்த
சாற்றினிலே, பண்கூத் தெனுமிவற்றின் சாரமெலாம்
ஏற்றி, யதனோடே யின்னமுதைத் தான்கலந்து,
காதல் வெயிலிலே காயவைத்த கட்டியினால்
மாதவளின் மேனி வகுத்தான் பிரமனென்பேன்.
