This Bharath nation lying
In the decay of abjectivity,
In excessive poverty,
In vitiated freedom.
Hail to thee! Hail to thee!

You played a trick
To make the people of the nation
Assume leadership in the world
With slavery dispelled,
Wealth achived,
Nobility of citizenry realized,
Education and wisdom enhanced.
You enjoy illimitable renown thereof.
You became the foremost on the Earth.

விண்ணகத்தே யிரவிதனை வைத்தாலும்
அதன்கதிர்கள் விரைந்து வந்து
கண்ணக்ததே யொளிதருதல் காண்கிலமோ?
நின்னையவர் கனன்றிந் நாட்டு
மண்ணகத்தே வாழாது புறஞ்செய்தும்
யாங்களெலா மறக்கொ ணாதெம்
எண்ணகத்தே, லாஜபதி, யிடையின்றி
நீவளர்தற் கென்செய் வாரே?
ஒருமனிதன் றனைப்பற்றிப் பலநாடு
கடத்தியவற் கூறு செய்தல்
அருமைளிûல் எளிதினவர் புரிந்திட்டா
ரென்றிடினும் அந்த மேலோன்
பெருமையைநன் கறிந்தவனைத் தெய்வமென
நெஞ்சினுளே பெட்பிற் பேணி
வருமனித ரெண்ணற்றார் இவரையெலாம்
ஒட்டியெவர் வாழ்க திங்கே?
பேரன்பு செய்தாரில் யாவரே
பெருந்துயரம் பிழைத்து நின்றார்?
ஆரன்பு நாரணன்பா லிரணியன்சேய்
செய்ததினா லவனுக் குற்ற
கோரங்கள் சொலத்தகுமோ? பாரதநாட்
டிற்பத்தி குலவி வாழும்
வீரங்கொள் மனமுடையார் கொடுந்துயரம்
பலவடைதல் வயத்தற் கொன்றோ?
