CLARITY

Permeating to the full, becoming all,
Is there any sense of depravity, my mind?
Having resolved to kill the evil worm,
Is the will deluded?

Having realized that all the existent are life,
Is there any sense of despair, my mind?
Having been immersed in the flooding grace benevolent,
Is there any sense of misery?

Having comprehended the nature of will,
And the action manifest of its might, my mind,
Is there any volition of will,
Even if millions of woes beset?

Hasn’t the Lord ordained, my mind,
“Act in life resigned to Shiva”, my mind?
Will those who stick on to such life in truth
Ever be afraid of exigencies on the earth?

Is there any sense of fear, my mind,
To those plunging deep into the sea of the light of the soul?
Lo! The floodgates of honey thrown wide open!
Let us wade through!

எல்லா மாகிக் கலந்து நிறைந்தபின்
ஏழைமை யுண்டோடா?-மனமே!
பொல்லாப் புழுவினைக் கொல்ல நினைத்தபின்
புத்தி மயக்கமுண்டோ?
உள்ள தெலாமோ ருயிரென்று தேர்ந்தபின்
உள்ளங் குலைவ துண்டோ?-மனமே!
வெள்ள மெனப்பொழி தண்ணரு ளாழ்ந்தபின்
வேதனை யுண்டோடா?
சித்தி னியல்பு மதன்பெருஞ் சத்தியின்
செய்கையுந் தேர்ந்துவிட்டால்,-மனமே
எத்தனை கோடி யிடர்வந்து சூழினும்
எண்ணஞ் சிறிதுமுண்டோ?
செய்க செயல்கள் சிவத்திடை நின்றெனத்
தேவ னுரைத்தனனே-மனமே!
பொய்கரு தாம லதன்வழி நிற்பவர்
பூதல மஞ்சுவாரோ?
ஆன்ம வொளிக்கடல் மூழ்கித் திளைப்பவர்க்
கச்சமு முண்டோடா?-மனமே!
தேன்மடை யிங்குத் திறந்து கண்டு
தேக்கித் திரிவமடா!
