Winking not with eyes two
You look at the eyes two
Of the deity of the softpetalled lotus pink.
Govinda!

You offer your golden feet two,
To bless those that cherish You,
The Lord of the Universe!
Day in and day out,
Countless anxieties meaningless are mine,
Poor that I am!

When will You dispel
The I of me, the poor fellow,
O Lord!
In the air,
the bird,
the tree,
the cloud,
the boundless sky,
the sea,
the soil,
the street,
the houses all in happy festivity,
Govinda,
When shall I find You
And become one with You?

Forgetting the eye of mine,
Assuming Your eyes in my heart,
Looking with Your eyes at the whole universe as You,
Finding fulfillment thereof,
Dispelling strongly oppressing forgetfulness, laziness and all sins,
Getting rid of blemishes of heart,
To live with You, Govinda,
Feed me with nectar!

கண்ணிரண்டும் இமையாமல் செந்நிறத்து
மெல்லிதழ்ப்பூங் கமலத் தெய்வப்
பெண்ணிரண்டு விழிகளையு நோக்கிடுவாய்.
கோவிந்தா! பேணி னோர்க்கு
நண்ணிரண்டு பொற்பாத மளித்தருள்வாய்
சராசரத்து நாதா நாளும்
எண்ணிரண்டு கோடியினு மிகப் பலவாம்
வீண்கவலை யெளிய னேற்கே.

எளியனேன் யானெனலை எப்போது
போக்கிடுவாய் இறைவ னேயிவ்
வளியிலே பறவையிலே மரத்தினிலே
முகிலினிலே வரம்பில் வான
வெளியிலே கடலிடையே மண்ணகத்தே
வீதியிலே வீட்டி லெல்லாம்
களியிலே கோவிந்தா நினைக் கண்டு
நின்னோடு நான் கலப்ப தென்றோ?

என் கண்ணை மறந்துனிரு கண்களையே
என்னகத்தில் இசைத்துக் கொண்டு
நின் கண்ணாற் புவியெல்லாம் நீயெனவே
நான் கண்டு நிறைவு கொண்டு
வன்கண்மை மறதியுடன் சோம்பர் முதற்
பாவமெல்லாம் மடிந்து நெஞ்சிற்
புன்கண் போய் வாழ்ந்திடவே கோவிந்தா
எனக்கமுதம் புகட்டு வாயே!
